Siguiendo el camino de WBD, Paramount y Starz, Disney eliminará de sus plataformas Disney+ y Hulu una larga lista de contenidos, incluyendo series como ‘Big Shot’, ‘Willow’ y ‘The World According to Jeff Goldblum’, entre otras.
Los contenidos, reportan varios medios estadounidenses, desaparecerán el próximo 26 de mayo.
La decisión se enmarca dentro del plan de ahorros y recortes revelado por Bob Iger, CEO de Disney, quien espera recortar US$ 5.500 millones de su presupuesto global, incluyendo US$ 3.000 millones en contenido no deportivo.
El propio Iger había anunciado durante la última presentación de contenidos de la compañía planes de deshacerse de originales para ahorrar entre US$ 1.500 y 1.800 millones.
Además de las mencionadas ‘Big Shot’, ‘Willow’ y ‘The World According to Jeff Goldblum’, dejarán los servicios títulos como ‘Turner & Hooch’, ‘The Mysterious Benedict Society’, ‘The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers’, ‘The Making Of Willow’, ‘Diary of a Future President’ y ‘Just Beyond’.
